2017 Fall Regional Meetings

Knowledge is power, and this year’s KSBA Fall Regional Meetings are designed to give you facts, background information and insider tips to ensure you are confident when you make that call or email to your senator or representative.

But knowledge flows both ways: KSBA is increasing member involvement in our advocacy work. We want input from all our members as we craft the KSBA legislative agenda for 2018, using feedback from our legislative survey along with information gathered through instant polling at each Regional Meeting.
  • What might the state’s new two-year budget hold for schools?
  • What about bills making reforms to school councils, teacher tenure and the teacher tribunal system?
  • Pension changes?
  • Tax credits to help families pay for private school tuition?
Join us and take a deeper dive into the critical issues that will affect your school board in the coming years and lend your voice to an open discussion from the floor.

This year's Fall Regional Meetings are again being hosted by the 12 school systems represented by board members as regional directors on the KSBA Board of Directors. Most meetings begin with a hospitality period at 5:30 p.m. local time with dinner following at 6 p.m. The program will begin around 7 p.m.
