The Carroll County Board of Education invites exceptional candidates with a background in serving a diverse population and possessing discerning leadership capabilities to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications: 
  1. Be a visible, active participant in the school and the community.
  2. Identify strengths of others and build on individual strengths to develop leadership capacity and trust so that risk-taking is part of the culture.
  3. Build and sustain a positive culture and climate through a strong vision, personal integrity and student centered goals.
  4. Maintain a student centered instructional focus that results in consistent and compelling ongoing growth in literacy and numeracy.

Carrollton, a vibrant historic river town is conveniently located in beautiful north central Kentucky close to both Louisville and Cincinnati. Carrollton is at the crossroads of the Ohio and Kentucky rivers and offers a peaceful rural setting with plenty of activities for the outdoor enthusiasts. Carrollton is a community that embraces and supports the schools.

Carroll County is home to the state renowned I-Lead Academy, a five-district partnership that is providing innovative pathways for both early college and career opportunities. The schools have ideal partnerships with industry and manufacturing that support student internships, student mentoring and teacher externships. Students in Carroll County have access to a number of differentiated career paths as it is home to the regional vocational/technical school.

Kentucky Superintendent certification is required.  Salary is negotiable.
