For the second consecutive year, KSBA’s School Energy Managers Project has been named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for Sustained Excellence. The award was presented by officials of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency during Washington, D.C., ceremonies in May. Accepting the award, l-r, are SEMP Director Ron Willhite and KSBA Executive Director Mike Armstrong, along with presenter Jacob Moss, deputy director of Climate Protection Partnerships for the U.S. EPA. The award recognizes the project’s ongoing work to help Kentucky schools reduce energy costs, increase energy efficiency, and increase the number of ENERGY STAR schools. The program was also recognized in 2014 and 2015 for Program Delivery in Energy Efficiency for introducing energy managers into schools.
