Presentations sought for 20070 Great Kids Summit

More than 500 Kentucky youth ages 13-24, health professionals, educators and youth workers are expected in Louisville in late June for the annual Great Kids Summit. Now is the time to consider being a presenter at that three-day conference centered around Five Promises* needed for young people to have successful lives: caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, marketable skills and opportunities to serve.

Kentucky Child Now!, which sponsors the fourth annual Great Kids Summit, is seeking proposals in the following areas:

Presenters to showcase a model program or best practice; youth and adult presenters for one-hour workshops will focus on the Five Promises.* The deadline for submissions is Jan. 15.
Youth talent for individual and/or group performances during the conference. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 1.
Youth artwork will be used in the Creative Youth Expo featuring the works of artists ages 13-19. The deadline for submission of drawings or paintings is April 30.
Destiny Awards honor individuals and organizations for making a difference in the lives of Kentucky's youth. Nominations must be submitted by April 30.
