KSBA's Tim Holt to retire; notes of appreciation being collected Tim Holt, who has provided school board member training for the past 15 years, will be retiring from full-time KSBA employment in January 2007. In honor of his service, KSBA is collecting sentiments of appreciation for his work with local boards and superintendents. Holt, a former Jessamine County school board member from 1983 - 1997, also served on the KSBA Board of Directors from 1989 to 1991, when he joined the staff of the Governance Team (then-Board Team) Development Service. He has been a presenter numerous times for other state school boards associations as well as at the National School Boards Association annual conference. During his time with KSBA, Tim has been involved with the ASAP (Advancing Student Achievement to Proficiency) for School Boards and the Local Facilities Planning services, in addition to expanding the board and superintendent training and evaluation workshops available through the association. KSBA is planning to present Tim with a portfolio of commendations or citations in celebration of his contributions to students, boards of education and public education.
