NSBA, Kennedy Center offer $10,000 for school board aid to arts education Could your school district use $10,000 to enhance the studies of the arts by your students? The Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network and NSBA are pleased to recognize a local school board for outstanding support of the arts in education. This national award has been presented annually since 1988 to a school board that has demonstrated support for and commitment to high-quality arts education in its school district, community, state or special jurisdiction. One school board per state will be selected for national review. The winning district receives a plaque (presented at the NSBA conference next April in San Francisco) and a cash award of $10,000 to use for its arts education programs. (Note: participation is limited to NSBA Federation member boards.) The Kentucky Alliance for Arts Education and the Kentucky School Boards Association will jointly select the Kentucky nomination that will be advanced to the national awards panel. Completed nominations should be sent to: The Kentucky Alliance for Arts Education 310 St. Clair Street, Suites 103-105 Frankfort, KY 40601-1876
