Hardin, Pulaski County board members join KSBA board

Two more new regional chairpersons have been elected by their peers to the KSBA Board of Directors during this fall's regional meetings.

In the Fourth Region, Hardin County Board of Education member Scott Tubbs is the new regional chairman.  Tubbs is in his first term on the Hardin County board and is the national sales and marketing manager for a magnetics production firm.  The Florida native is also a former high school band director and a graduate of Harding University in Arkansas.

Tubbs now represents the Bardstown, Campbellsville, Cloverport, Elizabethtown and West Point independent and the Breckinridge, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, Taylor and Washington county boards on the association's board of directors.  He replaces Bardstown Independent board member Kathy Reed.

The new regional chairperson for the Middle Cumberland Region is Bill White of the Pulaski County school board.  White also is in his first term as a board member, but is a retired teacher and administrator.  The Elliott County native has degrees from Berea College, Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky.

White will represent the Adair, Casey, Clinton, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell and Wayne county and the Monticello, Science Hill and Somerset independent boards on the KSBA board.
