The fifth and sixth elections of regional chairpersons to the KSBA Board of Directors place Greg Hunsaker of Henderson County and Kelly Shoffner of Middlesboro Independent in new leadership roles.

Shoffner, the new Upper Cumberland regional chairperson, joined the Middlesboro board in 2005 after service as a school council member at two of the district's schools.  A graduate of Cawood High School in Harlan with post-secondary education studies at Southeast Community College in Cumberland and Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, she is the owner of JRS Restaurant Corp. in Middlesboro and Corbin Restaurants Inc. of Lexington.  On the KSBA board, Shoffner will represent the Barbourville, Corbin, East Bernstadt, Harlan, Middlesboro, Pineville and Willamsburg independent boards and the Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knox, Laurel and Whitley county boards.
