NSBA extends deadline for 2007 conference district showcase pitch until Dec. 15; travel update info

NSBA will continue to accept proposals to participate in its San Francisco annual conference Walk of Excellence until Dec. 15. 

The Walk of Excellence is an opportunity for school districts to showcase individual district programs.  The tabletop displays use assigned space on 8-foot tables located in a special area of the NSBA Annual Conference Exhibit Hall. The displays are the centerpiece of an all-conference event that typically draws 1,000 people and includes information on best practices, and offers family entertainment and snacks. The event will be on Sunday, April 15 from 12:30 - 3:30 pm in the Moscone Convention Center.

Registration

NSBA conference registration information can be accessed from the NSBA Web site — www.nsba.org/conference. Please use this to register online.

Accommodations

The housing form can also be accessed and completed online. In order to submit the housing form, you must first have your conference registration ID number. The earlier you register, the better your chances of obtaining your preferred hotel; please remember “choice” hotel reservations go quickly.

Travel

A pdf-format brochure containing information about flight schedules/reservations for space blocked for KSBA members’ travel to San Francisco is now saved on the KSBA Web site here.  Please note that the deadline for flight reservations through this service is Jan. 8.

If you choose not to use KSBA’s group-sponsored space, Kelli will be happy to assist you with alternative arrangements. The fare on the group-sponsored space is comparable to online prices, but group travel arrangements offer the advantage of name changes until a specified date, as well as cancellations without penalty.

Kentucky Reception

The Kentucky Reception will be Sunday, April 14, 5:30-7 p.m. at the San Francisco Marriott.
