KDE releases updated fact sheet on Kentucky public schools

For the past few years, the Kentucky Department of Education has produced the Kentucky Education Fact Sheet, which is a compilation of basic information about the state's public school system.

The report for the 2005-2006 school year includes statewide data in a wide variety of areas including:

• average per pupil spending, teacher salaries and state funding
• full-day kindergarten, family resource and youth services centers and alternative SBDM councils
• graduation, attendance, retention and dropout rates
• school board member gender and racial breakdowns
• non-English languages spoken in the homes of limited-English speaking families
