Remember to get your daily school news updates from KSBA
As the new school
year opens, KSBA wishes to remind all board members and superintendents
of the daily school news updates that are available through two primary
options:
-
10-12 story
links are posted to the KSBA Web site
each weekday morning by 10 a.m. ET and each afternoon by 3 p.m. ET
(stories are also posted weekend days by noon). These stories
are a compilation of the latest Kentucky, border state and national
K-12 news posted to the Internet. An example is the recent
federal judge's ruling against a New Jersey school board policy that
prohibited the high school football coach from participating in his
team's student-led, student-initiated pre-game prayer.
-
School leaders
wishing to have the news delivered directly to their computers may
do so through KSBA's e-News Headline Service. Free to
subscribers to our newspaper clipping service (which features
additional news not posted to the Internet), e-News Headline
recipients get an e-mail each morning and afternoon, Monday-Friday,
with the linked headlines. This service also is available to
others who don't already subscribe to the hard copy clipping
service. For more information on starting either service
immediately, contact Brad Hughes at
brad.hughes@ksba.org or
call 800-372-2962.
