Online survey and awards program focuses on school board use of technology From NSBA's Education Technology office: The National School Boards Association (NSBA) and the Center for Digital Education are pleased to announce the third annual 2006 Digital School Boards Survey. The purpose of the survey is to showcase and acknowledge those school boards around the nation who are providing a high level of service to their communities, schools, teachers, students and administrators through use of information technology. We are very pleased to invite you to participate in the survey and award program. The Digital School Board Survey is accessible online, including instructions and response form. It contains 10 multiple-choice type questions and nine narrative-type responses and is located at www.centerdigitaled.com/06schools. TheCIO/IT director/manager should complete and submit the survey no later than Friday September 8, 2006. Based on survey responses, school boards will be ranked and national press releases issued and will be profiled in the magazine Converge Online, NSBA’s newsletter and on both our Web sites (www.centerdigitaled.com; www.nsba.org). A reception honoring the top-10 ranked school boards will be held in conjunction with the November 8-10, 2006 NSBA T+L conference in Dallas, TX. Thank you for your forthcoming participation in the survey. We look forward to meeting you at NSBA’s T+L conference. # # # |
