OTHER Assistant Director, Governmental Relations, KSBA, Frankfort, KY. Position seeks applicants to assist the division director in planning and implementing the governmental relations and advocacy work of the association. Job functions include lobbying the Kentucky General Assembly and Executive Branch; attending Interim meetings of the General Assembly and other organizations; organizing members and planning events for grassroots lobbying; developing content for Governmental Relations pages on KSBA website; developing and making presentations at Association conferences and other events; acting on behalf of Director in his or her absence; and managing Governmental Relations administrative support staff. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of the legislative process; a minimum of three to five years of governmental relations and lobbying experience; proficient knowledge of database management, including MS Word, Excel and internet research; and a minimum of three years of successful supervisory management experience.
