KSBA Medicaid Billing Program Under Kentucky and federal law, school districts may qualify for Medicaid reimbursement as a funding source for special education services such as:
Districts are given the freedom to regenerate these funds into some of their current programs. KSBA has been involved with the Medicaid Billing Program since its inception in 1996. The KSBA Billing Service is more than a claim-entry service. It’s also a time-saving management tool. Our service fee is only 10 percent of the school districts reimbursement from Medicaid. For example, if your district receives payment from Medicaid for $2000, KSBA would only charge $200.This saves the district on average 200 percent of what it would take to employ someone to do the data-entry, submission and research themselves.
