KSBA's Member Support Services are designed to ensure that school board members, superintendents and education advocates have ready access to factual information about Kentucky K-12 education issues.  The service also works to get information about local issues quickly and accurately to key association staff members.

  • this Web site features news about education; association service data; links; online resources - updated daily --
  • telephone consultation on community and/or media attention to school issues;
  • a mentoring program for district communications staff and an annual school communications materials and projects professional development program (OASIS Awards, offered jointly with the Kentucky School Public Relations Association).

2008 Numbers:

Use of this Web site exceeded 5.9 million hits in 2007, and in early 2008, daily hit counts were averaging between 25,000 and 30,000.

More than 1,300 school board members, superintendents and other district staff now receive the KSBA e-News Headline Service

Kentucky School Advocate provided to more than 2,600 readers every month.
