2015 KSBA Education Leadership Honors

NOTE: Nomination deadlines for KSBA Friend of Education and F. L. Dupree Outstanding Superintendent Awards have been extended to Nov. 14.

You are invited to nominate outstanding education leaders and advocates from your community for recognition during the association’s 79th annual conference, Feb. 27-March 1 in Louisville. This is a unique opportunity to place a major supporter of your school system in the public spotlight in front of as many as 1,000 education leaders from across Kentucky.
KSBA Friend of Education Award

This will mark the 26th presentation of the KSBA Friend of Education Award. One award will be presented to an individual, an organization, a business or a corporation in recognition of support for public education in your home community as well as across the state. Board members and superintendents may not be nominated for this recognition. Nominations may come from any district which has not had a nominee selected for the award in 10 years. Selection is by a statewide panel of education leaders.

F. L. Dupree Outstanding Superintendent Award

KSBA and the family of the late F. L. Dupree, a local school board member and public education advocate, jointly present this honor. To be eligible, a superintendent must have held the current post since July 1, 2010. This will mark the 45th presentation of the Dupree Award. Nominations are screened by one panel of Dupree past recipients, and then a final selection is made by a different panel of Dupree honorees.

The nomination deadline for these honors is Friday, Nov. 14.
