Effective immediately, KSBA staff are using a new in-house software application to manage the Policy/Procedure service. It’s a mix of all of the popular features in a more secure package.
As most of the change is on KSBA’s side, school board members, superintendents and other district personnel won’t see much difference except in the appearance and functionality of the new online manual. Users will be automatically directed from the previous online manual site to the new one.
As with the earlier edition, the new manual is fully searchable by word or phrase (in quotation marks) and contains links to pertinent Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRSs), Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KARs), Attorney General Opinions (OAGs) and Open Meeting Decisions (OMDs).
"We've upgraded the infrastructure that runs the new online manual site to the latest standards, which will create a more secure environment. This will also allow us to release new enhancements more effectively in the future,” said Policy/Procedure Service Director Katrina Kinman.
In addition, users now have the ability to print by chapter or print an entire manual if needed. To print by chapter, please use Internet Explorer and add the site to the list of Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer.
