NSBA’s Federal Relations Network (FRN) conference now open for registration

Sessions, including trips to Capitol Hill, will be Feb. 5-7

Submission

Why do you need to be at FRN this year? The answer is simple:If you don't advocate for your students, then who will?

NSBA’s FRN 2012 is the annual opportunity for school board members to learn key federal issues in-depth, which is then immediately put into action by conference participants during their meetings with members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill on Feb. 7. In addition, FRN prepares school board members to be the most effective federal advocates throughout the year.

Critical education decisions are expected in Congress in early 2012that will impact school districts for at least the next six years, including the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and federal funding for education programs for Title I and special education.

School board members not only learn about these issues from NSBA Advocacy staff, but also hear firsthand from Congressional members about their agendas for education legislation in 2012.

The FRN conference is your opportunity to advocate for your students along with 900-plus school board and state school boards association leaders on Capitol Hill. You can't afford to miss it. The stakes are too high.
