KSBA Training Cadre ready to do on-site training for board members to meet new requirements in superintendent evaluations and ethics

KSBA’s Training Cadre recently conducted a daylong session focused on the new training topics for Kentucky school board members, including sessions on superintendent evaluation and ethics.

The Cadre, officially begun in 2006, consists of current and former school board members and educators, trained to facilitate training sessions for school board/superintendent teams on various topics. They work at conferences and in school districts throughout the state and come together once or twice each year to receive training and updates.

Veteran members of the Cadre include Scott Bivins (former Muhlenberg County school board member), Arlene Burnett (former Bell County board member), Rebecca Burgett (former Gallatin County board member), Dale Gray and Allen Kennedy (Hancock County board members), Bill Lovell (McLean County board member), and Bill Sadler (former Glasgow and Raceland-Worthington independents board member). David Keller (former KSBA executive director) and Brad Hughes, KSBA director of Member Support Services, also are Cadre members.

The KSBA Training Cadre members are available to provide training to districts in the evenings, during the day, during the week or on the weekends. For additional information and to schedule training for your board/superintendent team, please contact Jean Crowley at KSBA, 1-800-372-2962 or email jean.crowley@ksba.org.
