The number of local school boards that have passed resolutions urging restoration of school funding to pre-recession levels has passed the century mark.
As of Friday, Nov. 22, 115 boards have reported their resolutions sent to local legislators, some also sending them to Gov. Steve Beshear and House and Senate leaders. Many more district leaders have been shared their intentions to take similar action at their November or December board meetings.
KSBA and the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents have encouraged all of the state’s 173 school districts to take similar actions.
