KSBA’s legislative advocacy team, under new Governmental Relations Director Hope McLaughlin, was at the Capitol this week as the 2015 General Assembly began its work. And team members will be ever- present throughout the session, monitoring education bills and other legislation that – while not specific to schools – could impact local K-12 programs.
As in the past, the KSBA team will provide a weekly rundown on legislative activities via email to all superintendents and all board members for whom we have email addresses. Those reports will start within the week.
At the same time, the Governmental Relations team will again provide updates on key committee and floor actions through KSBA’s social media pages, Facebook and Twitter.
