KDE bringing together district finance officers to discuss resource efficiency; five regional sessions starting Thursday through May 30

From Kentucky Department of Education

KDE receiveda $10,000 grant from the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices for training that focuses on efficiently reallocating state education resources to support increasing educational performance. The NGA Center will help states develop a plan for implementing recommendations on resource allocation and reallocation.

KDE’s focus will be to benchmark and track productivity improvements within school districts, identify best practices that reduce expenses, and communicate these best practices across the state for all districts to benefit. A series of five regional meetings for district finance officers will identify target areas for tracking.
