Congratulations to Kenton County and Scott County school districts and our own SEMP on ENERGY STAR Partner awards

Representatives of the Kenton County and Scott County school districts and boards joined members of the KSBA School Energy Managers Project last week in Washington, D.C., to receive ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year honors from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

For the KSBA SEMP team, it marked the second straight selection as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for ongoing work with the state’s district energy managers.

Kenton County Schools were recognized for “sustained excellence” in building and operating energy-efficient buildings.

Scott County Schools were saluted for reduced energy use and implementation of conservation tools as part of a district energy management plan.
