Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky seeks nominations for its annual Law Enforcement Award; deadline is Aug. 12

Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky is now accepting nominations for its 7th annual Law Enforcement Award. Nominees may include any sworn and certified law enforcement official conducting business within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Nominees can include Kentucky State Police officers of any rank, local sheriffs/deputies, and any officer of a local police department or other law enforcement official who has made a significant and positive impact on the ability of his/her agency/department to protect children involved in cases where crimes, including child abuse and neglect, have been committed against them.

Meritorious actions described in each nomination may be a series of activities taking place over a number of years or be contained to a single highlighted event during an officer’s career.

Nominees for this award may also include officers who have implemented programs designed to prevent crimes against children or who have participated in initiatives to increase public awareness of child abuse/neglect in local communities.

To nominate an individual for this award, please complete the attached form here and return it to Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky no later than Aug. 12.
