Registration for this conference is now closed. You may still attend by registering on-site. If you are registering more than one person on-site, please let Jolene Shearer know so that we can make sure we have enough packets for everyone. Thank you.
Join us for a four-hour, in-depth training. We will cover the numerous policies and procedures districts must have in place to comply with FERPA, as well as court cases and Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO) opinions.
Learn about new legal provisions concerning the release of education records to the Juvenile Justice System and the Cabinet for Families and Children.
We will discuss how to respond to various types of records request.
Breaches of student records confidentiality can harm students and may result in liability damages against the school district and individuals. It may also lead the U.S. Department of Education to withhold federal funding for failure to comply with FERPA mandates.
