Event Groups:
• KSBA - KCSS Events
Description:

Our schools are being subjected a barrage of threats. These threats are coming in a variety of ways: phoned-in bomb threats, threatening notes left on restroom walls, social media postings and paper notes left on floors in our schools. These all fall under the category of Terroristic Threatening. Due to these threats there is a loss of valuable classroom instructional time.
There are many organizations that are constantly being hit with terroristic threats such as: hospitals, governmental agencies, major sporting events (at all levels), parades and private businesses etc. Many of these organizations have protocols they use to determine the validity of these posed threats. This training, provided by Law Enforcement and Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms personnel, will provide valuable information to school administrators so that they can make decisions based on current data.
