Get your questions about the restraint and seclusion
requirements answered by an experienced school law attorney, Teresa T. Combs.
Kentucky public school personnel, including contractors who
perform work typically done by employees directly employed by the school
district, are required by 704 KAR 7:160 to receive annual training on the
restraint and seclusion regulation and related district policy and procedures.
This training will flesh out the Kentucky statutes that are
cited in the regulation about the type of property damage and disruption for
which students can be restrained, etc.
Administrators will get the
information they need to train district staff on prudent implementation and
documentation regarding the restraint and seclusion regulation.
