This free workshop gives school district administrators the information they need to carry out their role in Kentucky’s new juvenile justice reforms (Senate Bill 200). The comprehensive training covers school district responsibilities and the new duties placed on agencies in the juvenile justice system.
Presenters from the Administrative Office of the Courts, Kentucky School Boards Association, Kentucky Department of Education, Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services will discuss the changes and requirements of SB 200. Discussions will include:
• The purpose of SB 200
• Key provisions and early implementation efforts
• New family accountability, intervention and response (FAIR) teams
• Educational record-sharing requirements
• New community resources, including Medicaid behavioral health money
• New court-designated worker responsibilities and processes.

As space is limited, we request each district send only two people. If the session you are trying to register for is full you may register for one of the other trainings.
