Reminder: Kentucky school boards must decide and indicate superintendent evaluation process selection by Dec. 31
Reminder: Kentucky school boards must decide and indicate superintendent evaluation process selection by Dec. 31

From the Kentucky Department of Education

Districts need to inform KDE by Dec. 31 which system they will use for superintendent evaluation for 2015-16.

Districts should report whether their board approves either the use of the SPGES Steering Committee documents and process for superintendent evaluation or if they will develop their own local system using the rubric that was provided. This notification can only by made by a district. At this point, no district has informed the department that it intends to use an alternative system and will be seeking approval for 2015-16. All locally developed systems must be preapproved by KDE.

Seventy-one districts have informed KDE of their choice and the agency is reminding other districts that they need to take this step by e-mailing KDE Chief of Staff Dr. Tommy Floyd at [email protected] as to their decision by Dec. 31.
