School district supervisors of classified personnel can take advantage of a Dec. 12 training to get the information they need to avoid legal pitfalls that can result in expensive litigation. Experienced attorneys and policy consultants will provide managers with valuable information to assist them with effective management, evaluation, investigation and discipline of classified employees.

The session will cover federal and Kentucky law that governs management and due process of classified staff, as well as legal discrimination areas such as disability, age, race and sex.

The event will be Dec. 12 at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike in Lexington. Registration is $200 per person. Online registration and more about the training is available here: http://www.ksba.org/protected/EventView.aspx?id=5YAIPB
