Governor Steve Beshear will deliver his State of the Commonwealth Address before a joint session of the House and Senate on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. ET on KET and at ket.org/live. The speech will also be archived at ket.org/legislature.

Legislative Update, a report hosted by Renee Shaw on the most significant activities of the day's legislative meetings, including committee testimony and actions, and debate and votes on the floor of the Senate and House of Representatives, airs at 11 p.m. ET on KET every weekday the legislature meets, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 5.
In addition, several hours of live daily coverage can be found on the Kentucky Channel (KET KY), available statewide via digital broadcast. This service can be accessed directly by viewers who have antennas for receiving over-the-air digital broadcasts and is free to Kentucky cable and satellite systems who wish to provide it to their customers.

The next Education Matters, “Innovations In Student-Directed Learning,” explores how Kentucky schools are using innovative strategies to put technology into the hands of students, give students more control over their education, and encourage teachers to become learners themselves. The program, hosted by Bill Goodman, airs Monday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on KET.
The program visits Eminence Independent Schools in Henry County, where an ambitious district-wide program is underway to “reinvent” education and empower students to take charge. Also featured are Danville High School and Bate Middle School in Boyle County, where students are engaged in project-based learning with real-world applications and choices.
