Two new directors named to fill vacancies on KSBA board
KSBA President Tom Blankenship has completed filling the final two vacancies on the KSBA Board of Directors. Two slots opened up after one local board member was defeated in last November’s elections and Jenkins Independent board member and director at large Durward Narramore was elevated to the post of president elect in this year’s association business meeting election in February.

Eddie Cornett of Paintsville Independent was appointed to complete the final two years of an unexpired term as one of the 12 directors-at large.

Cornett is an air traffic controller based in Huntington, W.Va. A graduate of Paintsville High School, Prestonsburg Community College and the U.S. Air Force Community College, Cornett is in his third year on the Paintsville Independent board. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after eight years of service.

Dr. Tina Hasty of Rockcastle County was appointed to complete the final year of an unexpired term as director-at-large on the KSBA board.

A practicing pharmacist, she is a graduate of University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She is in her eighth year on the Rockcastle County Board of Education. Hasty serves as a director and medical advisory chair for Operation UNITE and is active in her church.

Both appointments are effective immediately.
