2011 Governor's Cup results - Kentucky's top K-12 academic honorsKSBA congratulates the students, advisors and coaches who have earned top honors in the 2011 Governor’s Cup program of the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition.

At the high school team level, Russell Independent captured its fifth state championship. Completing the Top 10 are Paul Laurence Dunbar (Fayette), DuPont Manual (Jefferson), Johnson Central, Adair County, Pikeville, Campbell County, Estill County, Grayson County, and Henry Clay (Fayette).

In the team competitions, Dunbar High won the Quick Recall section, while Johnson Central earned the top score in the Future Problem Solving event. To see all of the high school results, click here Governor’s Cup – High.

Meyzeek Middle (Jefferson County) was tops in the Governor’s Cup for the overall middle school grades competition. Filling out the Top 10 were Johnson County Middle, Drakes Creek Middle (Warren) Winburn Middle (Fayette), Lexington Traditional Magnet (Fayette), Danville Bate Middle, Paintsville High, Capital Day (private), Beaumont Middle (Fayette), and Holy Name (private).
