KSBA governmental relations team seeks ideas for use in legislative issues survey
As part of its yearlong advocacy process, the KSBA Governmental Relations Service is already working on the legislative issues survey for 2012 – the first step in the process to develop the association’s set of priorities for the 2012 General Assembly.

We are soliciting suggestions from school board members and superintendents of issues that you believe should be included in our upcoming survey. These may be long-standing or emerging issues, budgetary or personnel — or any issues that you feel should be considered for legislative action. There is no need to provide detail at this time; we simply want to identify the major topics for potential legislation.

Our team will compile all suggestions and use these to create the survey, which then will be distributed to members this summer. Ultimately, a panel of board members and superintendents will recommend a set of legislative priorities to the KSBA Board of Directors, which will adopt a final Legislative Agenda near the end of this year.

We welcome your suggestions via e-mail to KSBA Governmental Relations Director Shannon Stiglitz here [email protected].
