The Kentucky School Public Relations Association (KYSPRA) Spring Retreat is a professional development opportunity open to any school public relations professional. The retreat offers a casual atmosphere designed to promote networking among colleagues. The 2014 event focuses on improving the skills and knowledge schools PR professionals already have and features experts among our membership.

The event will be March 20-21 at the Hampton Inn at 985 Chambers Blvd. in Bardstown. Sessions will begin at 2 p.m. March 20 and end at 11 a.m. March 21. Topics on the agenda include

· Basics of school marketing planning

      · Outreach from the perspective of outside voices

      · Becoming a more effective writer for daily work

      · Producing quality videos on a budget

Registration is $80 for KYSPRA members and $115 for nonmembers. Lodging at the hotel is $93 with reservations made directly to the hotel at (502) 349-0100. Event registration includes breakfast at the hotel and most of the Thursday evening meal costs.
