The 2014 session of the Kentucky General Assembly begins today, and, as always, KSBA will work to keep its members regularly informed about the actions the legislature takes. The KSBA Governmental Relations team will be at the Capitol around the clock, monitoring the committee sessions, meeting with legislators, tracking legislation and sending members regular communications.
Each Friday, KSBA sends out an electronic legislative newsletter that includes reports on the committee meetings and summaries of relevant legislation. KSBA will also contact you periodically via email if we need you to get in touch with legislators about specific bills or issues.

This will be the most critical legislative session for education advocates in many years. We need lawmakers to hear the voice of those who represent public schools to ensure education gets needed funding so our students can continue being successful. School board members can make a difference.
