KSBA resumes winter school closing media report service

Back by popular demand (more than 100 visits this week alone), KSBA has reactivated our webpage that helps district leaders see what’s going on in their region and around the state as regards winter weather school closings.

The Winter School Closing Reports page on the KSBA website – here – allows visitors to check 16 media outlet web pages covering eight regions of the state. It’s a one-stop shop for superintendents and others who want to know what decisions are being made by their neighbors as well as by leaders in similar sized districts elsewhere.

For example, using the links, the KSBA eNews Service was able to write an article for Thursday’s AM Headlines noting that 59 districts were closed today, with at least another dozen that opted for delayed starts of between one and two hours.

In addition to bookmarking the link at the top of this article, you can access the Winter School Closing Reports page in two places on our website home page – the rotating flash tabs at the top of the page and the Important Bookmarks at the bottom of that same page.
