School personnel responsible for accommodating students, parents, staff and the public under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act can gain insightful training during a two-day workshop next week sponsored by KSBA’s Legal and Administrative Training program.
The requirements of ADA and Section 504 can be enforced in court or by agencies such as the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Office of Civil Rights and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Schools and district participating in the annual 504/ADA conference will get updates from Teresa T. Combs, KSBA’s director of Legal and Administrative Training Services; John Fogle, KSBA staff attorney; and Janet Jeanes, KSBA senior policy consultant.

$200 per person for one day for KSBA special education service members
$600 per person for one day for non-members
$350 per person for both days for members
