National audiences of school board members, superintendents and district staff benefited from Kentucky education experience in a pair of Internet webinars provided to national affiliate members of the National School Boards Association.

KSBA Executive Director Bill Scott and Board Team Development Director Kerri Schelling (pictured above) shared information about the school board role in Kentucky’s implementation of common core state standards in this year’s classroom instruction and assessment tests. They also explained the local board training modules developed by KSBA on college and career readiness strategies and the state’s new school accountability system.

KSBA Member Support Services Director Brad Hughes joined New Jersey School Boards Association Interactive and Social Media Specialist Erik Endress to provide insights into traditional communications avenues through board meetings, public presentations and the news media as well as using Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets.
