Kentucky schools’ communications efforts sought for 2012 OASIS Professional Development Program

Deadline for entries is Monday, April 16

Springtime means OASIS time for Kentucky’s school communications professionals.

KSBA again is accepting nominations for the 16th annual OASIS (Outstanding Achievement in School Information Services) Professional Development program.

The OASIS Program was moved to this spring to coincide with the earlier scheduling of the KYSPRA Annual Conference, which will be in July as part of the annual meeting of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators.

All KYSPRA members were mailed the Call for Entries for the 2012 OASIS program in March. The entry deadline is April 15. The Call for Entries – listing all categories, entry rules, fees, etc. – also is available online here http://www.ksba.org/2012OASISCallforEntries.aspx.

Back for the fourth year is the OASIS Sweepstakes Award, open to any district entering three of the five overall competition groups (Printed Communications, Written Communications, Photography/Videography, Electronic/Online Products and Campaigns and Programs). Four districts will be selected by our panel of judges to receive the Sweepstakes Award, which will be presented at a meeting of their local boards of Education.

This year's OASIS program will accept nominations for any communications product or initiative created between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2011.

The entry fee is unchanged from last year ($55 per entry) and is open to school personnel of any district in which at least one staff member holds KYSPRA membership.
