NSBA conference to have multiple chances for board members, district leaders to learn about social networking; final Kentucky presenter list

More than 200 Kentuckians are heading to Boston this week for the 2012 NSBA national conference, and those with an interest in social media and networking will have numerous opportunities to pick up some expertise.

This year's conference will feature several sessions, trainings, interactive discussions and social networking opportunities. Here are some of the highlights:

* Follow us at www.twitter.com/NSBAComm, and share your thoughts on site in Boston with fellow attendees and colleagues back home by using the special Annual Conference Twitter hashtag: #NSBAConf

* R U Connected Desk: New to social networking? Stop by the R U Connected Desk in the North Lobby to find out how to join the conversation. We will help you get signed up for Facebook and Twitter and show you how to use these tools. You can also learn how to use conference QR codes and get answers to other tech questions you may have.

* Social Networking Tweet-Up: On Saturday, April 21 from 2:45 - 3:15 p.m., come network with other conference attendees in the College Board Lounge (Aisle 300 in Exhibit Hall A).

* Social Networking as a Community Outreach Tool: On Sunday, April 22 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m., join us in the EdTechKnow Lounge (Level 2, NE Lobby of the Convention Center) to participate in an interactive discussion with school board members on how to utilize social networking to engage with your community.
