KOSAA: Superintendents’ assistants to study state rules on maintaining public records, open meetings and more on Friday at KSBA conference

The 11th annual meeting of the Kentucky Organization of Superintendents’ Administrative Assistants (KOSAA) has a packed lineup of topics on its Friday, Feb. 26 agenda at the Galt House East in Louisville.

Morning clinics will focus on:

v School security with a presentation by the Kentucky Center for School Safety.

v Effective use of KSBA’s database for school board members’ information and more.

v The workings of the new mobile app for the KSBA annual conference.

v Requirements for public meetings, especially local school board meetings.

Afternoon sessions will cover:

v Legal rules on retaining public records by staff of the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives.

v Team-building skills for key administrative support professionals.

The event opens at 9 a.m. Friday and includes a luncheon as part of the registration fee of $37.
