Schools eligible to apply for health grants

Submission

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky is pleased to announce the release of the 2011 Kentucky Healthy Futures Initiative (KHFI) Request for Proposals (RFP). The Foundation seeks to award grants in low-income and rural communities in Kentucky to improve access to health services, reduce health risks and disparities, and promote health equity. This is an opportunity to replicate or scale innovative strategies with evidence of impact to make a significant difference in the health of your community.

Grants will vary in size. We anticipate awarding a total of $400,000 in grants for three to four proposals in the cycle. Non-profit organizations with a strong track record of project stewardship, community collaboration, and health improvement are encouraged to apply.

Organizations are asked to submit a Letter of Intent to the Foundation by June 15. Full proposals are due on July 22.
