KEA to survey classified workers, support staff in October

Starting next Monday, Oct. 3, the Kentucky Education Association will launch what it is calling the first-ever statewide opinion survey of classified school employees and education support personnel.

KEA is asking all classified employees to “to submit their perceptions on a variety of issues, including the adequacy of facilities and resources, time, empowerment, school leadership, student conduct, induction services, and professional development. By documenting and analyzing how public school employees view working and learning conditions, this initiative will provide each Kentucky school district with its own data that can become a part of the ongoing planning processes in our school districts and at the state policy-making level. “

KEA is making both online and hard-copy surveys available to classified workers Oct. 3 – 28. It is estimated that the survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
