Online resources to help mark February as National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month

The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) is a nonpartisan policy and program resource center at George Washington University's School of Public Health and Health Services. The Center's mission is to strengthen the well-being of children and youth through effective health programs and health care services in schools.

The Center links educators and health professionals to the information essential to building these programs, through testing new school-connected strategies to achieve better health outcomes for children, and by promoting awareness of successful new directions in school-based programming.

Here are some of the online resources provided by CHHCS:

* School health services

* School-based health centers

* School-based dental health centers

* School-based mental health services

Access the resources here: http://healthinschools.org/.

Similar resources are provided by the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care.

Built from the grassroots up by individuals from state and federal government agencies, national and regional foundations, child health and education organizations, and school-based health centers, we are a true reflection of the field we support. NASBHC advocates for national policies, programs, and funding to expand and strengthen school-based health centers, while also supporting the movement with training and technical assistance.
