Time running out to register for KSBA’s annual update on what’s new in state and federal school law, May 12–13; board member focus May 14

There are just a few days remaining to register district and school staff and/or board members to participate in KSBA’s 10^th annual school law conference, with a Saturday morning series of bonus sessions for board members.

The conference will be May 12–13 at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. The board member-specific training will be on the morning of May 14 at the same site.

Join KSBA’s experienced staff for sessions that will cover the latest on the new federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA); laws passed by the 2016 General Assembly; an update on federal and state regulations; new case law and attorney general’s opinions; annual KSBA policy and procedure updates; responding to school safety threats; and other updates tied to K-12 issues.
