At least four Kentucky presentations have been confirmed for the 2016 annual conference of the National School Boards Association, April 9-11 in Boston. And more undoubtedly will be announced in the coming weeks.
KSBA staff have received notice they have been invited to provide clinics on:
· Board self-evaluations (attendees at this year’s KSBA Fall Regional Meetings will get a first look at this new service) – Kerri Schelling and Jean Crowley of KSBA’s Board Team Development Service.
· Eliminating wasteful energy expenses – Members of the School Energy Managers Project (SEMP).
· Safe and effective use of social media by school leaders – Brad Hughes of the Member Support/Communications Service.
Schelling also will be one of the trainers for the NSBA conference’s annual New Board Member Boot Camp, and Hughes will be part of the reporting team covering the conference through the online daily news service.
NSBA will announce the Kentucky district presentations chosen for the Boston event later this fall.
Conference and housing registration opens Oct. 28 online here.
