As the 2014 Kentucky General Assembly session nears its midpoint, local school boards and superintendents continue to encourage Gov. Steve Beshear and lawmakers to restore funds for public school programs reduced over the past five years.
As of Friday, Feb. 4, 135 boards have reported their resolutions sent to local legislators, some also forwarding them to Gov. Beshear and House and Senate leaders.
KSBA and the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents have encouraged all of the state’s school district leaders to take similar actions.
