Do you understand your legal responsibilities to address bullying and harassment in your schools?

Both federal and Kentucky law outline specific procedures for addressing and documenting complaints of harassment and bullying. Does your staff understand actions they must take and how to document when such complaints are made?

Topics:
• Responsibilities when conduct violates both Federal harassment/discrimination law and Kentucky Bullying law.
  - Federal protected areas – harassment
  - State criminal reporting (bullying) law
• Investigation
• Policy and procedure implementation
  - Employee reports of criminal activity
  - Child abuse reporting
  - Bullying/hazing of students
  - Assault and threats of violence
