The Kentucky School Boards Association partners with local associations and businesses to present awards that honor education leaders across the state. Recipients are traditionally recognized each year during the KSBA Annual Conference, one of the largest gatherings of education leaders in Kentucky.
Note: Because of the challenges surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, KSBA is pausing its traditional conference awards programs for the 2021 Annual Conference. KSBA will offer opportunities to recognize outstanding individuals beginning again next year.
F. L. Dupree Outstanding Superintendent Award
KSBA and the family of the late F.L. Dupree, a local school board member and public education advocate, jointly present this honor. To be eligible, a superintendent must have held the current position for five years, and be serving in the post at the time of the award presentation. Nominations are selected by a panel of past Dupree award recipients. To date, 51 superintendents have been recognized with the Dupree Award.
